Location

The Grønnfinken Sauna is located at Mariholtet Sports Cabin, surrounded by beautiful forest terrain. The swimming area at Nord-Elvåga is a short three- to four-minute walk away. You can swim here as long as the water is not frozen.

Facilities

In winter, a freshwater plunge pool is available. Just outside the sauna, you will find toilets, and during the summer season there is a simple garden hose shower.

Mariholtet Sports Cabin serves food, so please contact them directly via their website or Instagram for menu options or to make a pre-order. Bringing your own alcohol is not allowed, but it can be purchased at the sports cabin before or after your sauna session.

Access by Foot, Bike, or Ski

Mariholtet is accessible on foot, by ski, or by bike. Driving a car directly to the cabin is not permitted. The nearest parking lot and bus/metro station is Ellingsrudåsen. From there, it is approximately 4.5 km to Mariholtet. Metro line 2 and buses 22/23 serve Ellingsrudåsen.

Self-Service Sauna

The Grønnfinken Sauna at Mariholtet is self-service. Each session lasts 2.5 hours, including heating and cleaning after use. Detailed instructions are provided upon booking.

Inside the sauna, benches are arranged in a horseshoe formation so guests face each other, creating a cozy atmosphere for social gatherings. Learn more about Grønnfinken here.

Prices

Single tickets cost NOK 120 for members and NOK 200 for non-members. Private sauna sessions cost NOK 1900 for members and NOK 2300 for non-members. The sauna accommodates up to 10 people.

To receive the member price, a membership can be easily purchased on our website before booking.
