Sauna in the city’s best backyard!

Experience a sauna in the middle of Oslo’s city center – in the atmospheric backyard of the pub Folk i Storgata. Here you will find a warm oasis sheltered from city life, perfect for experiencing peace, warmth and social moments.

A place with history

The sauna Dompapen is located in one of Oslo’s oldest and best-preserved cultural environments. The historic building Prinds Christian Augusts Minde has roots back to the late 17th century. Throughout the ages the building has served as a mansion, a workhouse, a psychiatric asylum and a social institution throughout the ages. Today it houses dining, culture and city life, and now a sauna as well.

About the sauna

The sauna Dompapen provides an intimate and urban sauna experience in quiet surroundings. Here you get:

• 90 minutes sauna including changing

• A cold tub and a cold outdoor shower

• Indoor changing room

Registration of arrival takes place at the bar at Folk i Storgata.
Please bring: Swimwear, water bottle, two towels and slippers. Bringing your own drinks, other than water, is not allowed.

The pub

Folk has a bar license, and drinks can be ordered for the sauna. Please have your ID available if needed.

Discount for members

A membership, which gives you a discount on both shared and private sauna, can be purchased here on the website (this must be done before ordering if you want the discount).
