If you are a member and have purchased the membership yourself (not a gift membership), membership for the next year will be automatically deducted unless you cancel the membership yourself. The price for membership may change at the turn of the year, in which case members will be informed.

Gift memberships will not be continued, but must be re-ordered if you want to continue being a member after 31.12.

5. CANCELLATION
5.1. PRIVATE BOOKING
Bookings can be canceled or changed no later than 72 hours before the scheduled session. You can choose between a 50% refund to your bank account or a 100% refund to a gift card if you cancel 72 hours before. No refunds or changes of time are offered at a later point in time. Note: Gift cards are valid for one year.
5.2. SINGLE TICKETS
The booking can be rescheduled no later than 48 hours before the scheduled session. Single tickets for the shared sauna/rituals are not refundable to a bank account, but you will receive a 100% refund to a gift card if the cancellation is made within the deadline. Note: Gift cards are valid for one year.
5.3. FJORD TOUR/CRUISE PRIVATE & SHARED FJORD TOUR
If Oslo Badstuforening is unable to carry out the reservation due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, the fjord tour with the sauna boat will be changed to a dockside sauna, and the customer will receive a refund for the difference.

5.4 CANCELLATION AND WEATHER CONDITIONS
In the case of extreme weather and other force majeure situations, such as natural disasters, strikes, and lockouts, the customer will not be refunded for the service that cannot be carried out.

6. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
The right of withdrawal for services does not apply to individual services that take place at a specific time or within a specific period, cf. the Right of Withdrawal Act § 19. Thus, a booking with Oslo Badstuforening follows the same principle as purchasing tickets for concerts, theater performances, sports events, or similar. Reservations can be transferred to another name free of charge.
6.1 GIFT CARDS AND RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
When purchasing a gift card on the website, the customer always has a 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with the Right of Withdrawal Act. We will refund the relevant amount using the same payment method you used when placing the order.
The gift card is valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase and cannot be extended. The booking and sauna visit must also take place within the validity period of the card. Only one gift card can be used per booking, and it is not possible to use multiple gift cards simultaneously. Gift cards can only be used for booking single tickets and private saunas.
6.2. MONTHLY PASS/ANNUAL PASS/MEMBERSHIP AND RIGHT OF CANCELLATION
You have the right to terminate the agreement for a monthly pass/annual pass/membership within 14 days from the date of purchase, in accordance with the Norwegian Right of Cancellation Act. When exercising the right of cancellation, you will receive a refund of the amount paid for the monthly pass/annual pass/membership. If you exercise this right, the amount paid will be refunded, minus minus the price for any sauna sessions during the cancellation period. See all terms and conditions for monthly passes/annual passes in section 7 below.

7. MONTHLY PASSES AND ANNUAL PASSES

7.1. PAYMENT, CANCELLATION PERIOD AND RIGHT OF CANCELLATION
When purchasing, you must provide your full name, date of birth, address, email and mobile phone number. It may also be necessary to upload a portrait photo (this function is not in place as of 1.9.2025).

To purchase a monthly pass/annual pass, you must be a member of Oslo Badstuforening. Membership is paid per calendar year (i.e. lasts until 31.12) and can be ordered HERE. Monthly pass and annual pass holders will automatically receive the same membership price in 2026 as in 2025. For members without a monthly pass/annual pass, the membership price may be adjusted upwards in 2026.

The monthly pass/annual pass is valid from the date you purchase it (= subscription withdrawal date). Monthly pass subscriptions are automatically renewed on the same date each month, and the withdrawal date cannot be changed. You are responsible for ensuring that the automatic withdrawal can be carried out on the due date for both monthly cards and membership. If payment is not made, the monthly card will be blocked and future bookings cancelled until the payment is registered. Outstanding amounts must be paid before a new monthly card can be subscribed or individual tickets purchased.

The monthly card has a three-month notice period. The notice period is three months from the next payment date. Notice of termination must be sent by email to post@oslobadstuforening.no. The annual card expires automatically one year after purchase.

You have the right to terminate the monthly/annual card/membership agreement within 14 days from the date of purchase, in accordance with the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act. When exercising your right of withdrawal, you will receive a refund of the amount paid for the monthly/annual card/membership, minus the price for any sauna sessions during the withdrawal period.

7.2. USE AND AVAILABILITY

Monthly/annual passes apply to communal saunas at all of the association’s locations. At Sagene Folkebad, sauna + pool sessions are also included. The monthly/annual pass does not apply to rituals, fjord trips, family swimming, private saunas and other special events.

How to use the pass: You book a single ticket on the website, but do not pay anything for the ticket when booking. Make sure you are logged in when booking.

You can book up to one communal sauna session per day, and you can have up to eight active communal sauna bookings at any time. Bookings can be made up to 21 days in advance. The association cannot guarantee that there is space available at the desired time and location.

The monthly/annual pass is personal. It cannot be transferred to others or used by anyone other than the buyer. The sauna manager may ask monthly/annual pass holders to show valid identification.

7.3. REGISTRATION, CANCELLATION AND “NO SHOW”

You are responsible for registering with the sauna master upon arrival each time you come to the communal sauna. Failure to register is considered a “no show”. In the case of self-service solutions (such as Mariholtet), only check-in with a QR code will be used.

If you want to cancel a session, you must do so yourself at least 5 hours before the booked time. If cancelled later, it is considered a “no show” regardless of the reason. NB: Cancellation must always be made via “My page” or via the link in the booking confirmation sent, and not via telephone or email.

In the event of two “no shows” within a period of three months, the monthly/annual pass will be closed for 10 days. During this period, you can book a sauna at the member price. You can open the monthly/annual pass again before ten days have passed, by paying the member price for the second “no show” session (currently NOK 150). Please let us know at post@oslobadstuforening.no if you want to pay.

You will receive a “no show” notification by email and can follow the status on “My page”.
