Mobile sauna at Mariholtet

The sauna is located at Mariholtet Sportsstue in Østmarka in Oslo . It is reachable by foot and by bicycle – visit ut.no for directions.

N.B. From July 2nd, the sauna is self-service – and only available to members of Oslo Badstuforening. Total time per session is 2.5 hours, including the time spent heating up, and cleaning after use. Detailed instructions are included with booking. A membership can be easily purchased here on the website (must be done before booking).

Beautiful scenery is right outside your window, and a short footpath leads down to lake Nordre Elvåga, where you can go for a refreshing swim if the lake is not frozen. In winter we have a cold pod outside the sauna. Inside the sauna, the seating is in placed in a semicircle, so that sauna-goers face each other. This makes for great atmosphere and pleasant get-togethers.

Remember to bring swimwear, two towels, a drinking bottle for water, and water shoes (optional). Toilets and shower are situated immediately outside. In winter the shower might be temporarily unusable. You rent the sauna privately for two hours, including changing time. The price is NOK 1500. Membership can be purchased on this website (must be purchased before booking).
